Saint Timothy Catholic Parish School offers a unique array of student support services. Each child is unique and has diverse needs. The school counselor, classroom aides, STAR, and EXCEL Teachers work collaboratively with the administration, classroom and special area teachers to provide a scaffold of support for student learning and success in the classroom and beyond.
- Guidance and Counseling – The school has a dedicated counselor who works with the students, teachers, and families to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- STAR – Support specialists work alongside classroom teachers to support classroom instruction, lead small groups, pull needs groups, and provide individualized instruction to increase student understanding and mastery of standards.
- COMET – This Math program serves to lower the student to teacher ratio during daily Math instruction in 2nd – 5th grades. Students that demonstrate advanced skills in math participate in COMET Math and are challenged with further rigor in math application.
- Middle School Math – Classes in middle school have less than 17 students in each class, providing more individualized and leveled instruction in mathematics. Students who demonstrate content mastery are able to participate in the Dual Enrollment Algebra 1 course offered in 8th grade.
- Classroom Aides – Classroom aides in PK2 – 4th grade assist in the support of instruction, small group work, helping students remain on-task, and responding to individualized needs.
